This unofficial blog site has been produced by Peter Bell to display a text description, map and photos of each of the walks by one of the Phoenix groups since the start-up of “normal” walks (autumn 2021) following the break due to the Covid pandemic. The walks are held every six days excluding Sundays. They normally cover Northumberland, Durham, Yorkshire, Cumbria, Lake District and occasionally the Scottish Borders. However, the initial walks after the restart were within about 1 hours drive of Tynemouth to minimise the length of the coach journey.
Currently there are about seven walks each week covering distances between 7 and 15 miles. The different walks for the next walk dates can be found on the club website – www.phoenixwalkingclub.org and using the menu, The Walks , Picking your Walk
Use the menu at the top of this page to navigate your way through the three static pages ;- “HOME”, “ABOUT US” and the “WALKS MENU”.
The WALKS MENU page allows you to select the walk you wish to look at. Clicking on the relevant walk in the walk menu will take you to a new page where you will find a description of the walk, photos of the scenery and the walkers and finally, a map of the route. At the bottom of each walk page there is a section where you can add comments.
The “about us” page contains information about the Phoenix walking club and contact information
